Joining the group
I receive a high volume of emails from prospective researchers. Many of these emails are AI-generated, resemble each other closely, and as such, are particularly unlikely to receive a reply. A shorter, more thoughtfully written email is much more likely to get my attention.
Prospective PhD students: I plan to recruit a student to start in Fall 2027. I recruit students through the Computer Science PhD program and the Computational Biology and Bioinformatics PhD program.
You do not need to contact me before applying. If you are interested in working with me, it is sufficient to mention my name in your application. Unfortunately, I am not able to respond to general questions about admissions or research fit.
